ABH | The Foundation is Seeking Board Candidates

ABH | The Foundation is a physician-led philanthropic organization that strives to improve the health and well-being of the community through strategic initiatives. 

Initiating a mass immunization effort aimed at rubella was one of its initial projects in the 1970s; today the foundation’s priorities are to provide funding to organizations serving the health needs of our underserved residents and engaging in activities to improve public health. More Information

Consider applying to serve on the ABH | The Foundation Board 

The Board of Directors is comprised of elected volunteers and has the principal responsibility of ensuring the foundation's mission and vision are fulfilled. This function is carried out by providing governance, leadership, and vision; ensuring the vitality and growth of the organization; representing the organization in public settings; and accepting the ultimate legal authority for the organization. 

ABH | The Foundation looks for new Board members who are energetic, strategically-minded leaders to help the organization thrive.  

Director requirements and duties 

  • Complete a full three-year term 

  • Total time commitment per quarter is about 8 hours

  • Attend quarterly online Board meetings: Second Wednesday in February, June, September and November from 6:00pm-8:00pm

  • Attend the online New Member Orientation

  • Social events and committee service opportunities are available throughout the year
